Experience State-of-the-Art Fruit, Nut and Vegetable Production at a Specialty Crop School…

Specialty Crop Schools bring corporate professionals, regulatory directors, marketing managers, PCAs and R&D personnel to farms, processing plants and research facilities to directly experience California agriculture. Some comments from our 2013 attendees…

"Excellent program with diversity of topics, crops and speakers!"

"Great for people that are new to California, or regulatory and marketing people who have limited experience with specialty crops."

"This was a very good experience. It opened my eyes up to the industry."

2014 Specialty Crop Schools will showcase two distinct production areas in California.  The San Joaquin Valley School (July 14-17) will feature almonds, citrus, grapes, ornamentals and vegetable crops. The Salinas Valley School (October 6-9) will focus on cool season vegetables, strawberries, cane berries, wine grapes, walnuts, seed and flower production. Sessions include field trips and classroom lectures.

Representatives from the food, chemical, fertilizer, equipment, packaging, transportation and environmental monitoring industries are encouraged to participate. Sales, marketing, communications, finance and logistics managers, as well as technical, R&D, and regulatory/government affairs personnel will benefit from direct exchange with growers, pest control advisors, research scientists, new contacts and potential customers. International attendees are welcome.
