|Experience State-of-the-Art Fruit, Nut and Vegetable Production at a Specialty Crop School…|
"This class exceeded my expectations!" July 2014 Crop School Attendee
Specialty Crop Schools bring corporate professionals, regulatory directors, marketing managers, PCAs and R&D personnel to farms, processing plants and research facilities to directly experience California agriculture.
Specialty Crop Schools have been developed to showcase two distinct production areas in California. The San Joaquin Valley School features almonds, citrus, grapes, ornamentals and vegetable crops. The Salinas Valley School focuses on cool season vegetables, strawberries, cane berries, wine grapes, seed and flower production. Sessions include field trips and classroom lectures.
Representatives from the food, chemical, fertilizer, equipment, packaging, transportation and environmental monitoring industries are encouraged to participate. Sales, marketing, communications, finance and logistics managers, as well as technical, R&D, and regulatory/government affairs personnel will benefit from direct exchange with growers, pest control advisors, research scientists, new contacts and potential customers. International attendees are welcome.
